Dr. Philip Latteier

Dr. Philip J. Latteier
is excited to be the new owner of Midnight Sun Dental and to lead our Anchorage dental group. Dr. Latteier grew up in Orange County California. He attended Brigham Young University for his undergraduate degree, then completed his DDS at the University of Southern California. After graduation he kept with the family tradition of military service and served in the US Army Dental Corps.
Upon leaving active duty he moved to Grand Junction, Colorado where he built his private practice. After 10 years in Colorado, and having grown the dental group to four partners in multiple locations, Dr. Latteier had the opportunity to come to Midnight Sun Dental and a new adventure!
Dr. Aaron Jones
General Dentist
Originally from Southern California, Dr. Jones always dreamed of becoming a dentist, but his journey to dentistry was a unique one. After earning his degree from Cal Poly and working in business for years, he and his wife Elizabeth took the leap and made his dental dream a reality. He graduated from LECOM with his Doctor of Dental Medicine and couldn’t be more excited to call Anchorage home.
With expertise in a wide range of dental services, from crown and bridge work to emergency dentistry, Dr. Jones is passionate about improving his patients’ oral health and helping them smile with confidence.
When he’s not in the office, you’ll find Dr. Jones exploring Alaska’s outdoor wonders with his wife and four kids or enjoying a game of pickleball or basketball.
Dr. Wayland Hunter
General Dentist
Dr. Hunter was born and raised in rural Minnesota. Upon completion of undergrad studies in chemistry and piano performance, Dr. Hunter attended dental school at the University of Minnesota. During dental school, he married his wife, Breeta, who was attending medical school at the time. In 2021, they both moved to Anchorage for Breeta’s residency years. Dr. Hunter has practiced all over the state, from Nome, to Wasilla, to Petersburg. He has completed continuing education in oral surgery, endodontics, and dental implants. He has a passion for learning and continues to find ways to better serve his patients. In his spare time, Dr. Hunter enjoys back country skiing, trail running, and mountain biking.
